backcover

the girl in the book, she is not real.
but when you read this book
you will believe
she is real.

you want to believe
she is real.

and i will disappoint you
in the utmost beautiful
brutal, heart-bleeding way.

you will be left confused
about
what is real.

to her,

volim te.

prolog

us, living
our normal life

until

i decided
to ask her
to marry
me.

three weeks
this is a book
 a story
of three weeks
of that perfect time of the year
when it is not too hot
nor too cold.

so three weeks
of my life
lived in Belgrade.
some six years ago.

a story of my
proposal

the questions that
could destroy
everything
end us.

please
open a bottle of wine, a good one
enjoy the reading experience.

Yours,
E2

trust me, have the wine..

week 1

she is
my first muse
the one whom my camera
first fell in love with.

i could make
a career taking photos of u my dear
and another career
writing about
you..

modeling is
what u could, should do..

instead you
choose to work
with something
that is immune to
gravity and gets better
with time

your creativity, your intelligence;
painting, photographing and writing.

us, both misfits for the world.
a miracle that we
even ever met..
the timing was once perfect.

us, we don’t belonging
anywhere
but we r
so comfortable
everywhere
blending
among the
normal ones

hiding
in plain sight..

adopting
to survive to
succeed
right in front
of your mortal eyes.

her at my home in Belgrade 2/2019. also the first great photo i’ve taken.  again her cuteness on my bed at my home in Belgrade 7/2020.

our tuesday sun
of today
is settling..

Laurent-Perrier Rosé
awaits the wine drinkers.
wish i would have been alive
back in 1968 when it was released.
the cuvée has never disappointed me, ever.

we walk
stop at the lights
i’m thirsty
so my mind
continues to walk;

across the street
curve a bit right, then left two blocks
after the Austrian embassy down left
and pinot noir bubbles..

touch on my hand
takes me back to our moment
this moment.

touch so light
so elegant so
intense.

our eyes
never met
we just stand here
in these lights
for a moment

one
can just
touch
to show
their love.

whilst we walk
i remember
how i first met your family
your mom offered me
what i started later to call
white hennessy

it was rakija, ŝljivovica
but in a hennessy xo bottle.

it was strong,
very strong
made by your
grandmother.

weak people drink
weak rakija..

that was not
for the weak
over 60% but tasty
full of character
full of life.

your mother was so happy
when we met, nearly in tears
just as i was after.
do you remember translating our conversations?

she was moved, profoundly
that you were able to
to make a living
from art

instead her to witness
your soul die
at a bank job
that was
to be
your

life
and destiny.

today i wish you would paint more
rather than sacrifice your time to take photos at weddings..

you have such an unique gift, a talent as a painter
the way you see the world and how you can transfer
your view, your emotion into a canvas.
please, please my dear
paint more.

moshe yetna flasha Laurent-Perrier Rosé, hvalaaa.

aaaand we will eat whatever the chef wishes to cook for us.

just before the waiter leaves
i zvini
moshe malo dunja

the waiter looks at me
asks; chef?

moshe dupli.

back then when
Langouste
did not have a star
as they now do..

all thanks to my brother
Guillaume Iskandar, the chef
who brought the Michelin guide
and fine dining culture to Serbia back in 2017..

mon sang, the chef
somehow knew
i would love to eat some pasta today
so he made it..

then no Ponnelle, no Fixin..
instead some Crozes-Hermitage.

the sunset view
is everything
and more..

these moments
of pure simple
happiness
shared
with the love
of  my life.

drinking that rosé sky
i wonder

could it be
the view, the place
to propose?
